✦ Questions & answers
What people ask before they trust a chart
Is Star Notes just another AI bot writing horoscopes?
No. The core is a classical Zi Wei rulebook turned into software. Our engineers worked with lineage masters to code every structure — major and minor stars, the four transformations, star brightness, the three-sides-four-directions — plus Master Ni Haixia's interpretation rules. AI only writes the result in everyday language and is not allowed to claim anything the chart does not show.
What makes the calculation more accurate than other sites?
True birth time. Most sites use the clock time you type, which shifts your chart if you were born near the edge of a two-hour period. Star Notes corrects for your birthplace's longitude (true solar time) and looks up historical time-zone and daylight-saving changes, in Vietnam and abroad, so your chart is set on the real moment you were born.
Who is behind the interpretation rules?
Masters from different classical schools and a team of senior software engineers. Zi Wei follows Master Ni Haixia's practical school; BaZi cross-checks draw on Mang Pai and Maoshan Shangqing traditions. The engineers packed these texts into one consistent system, so the reading does not depend on one reader's mood.
Why does lighting incense need an offering (19k / 49k / 99k)?
Traditional divination holds that destiny should never be read empty-handed. Seeing life's turning points without an offering was believed to wear down your merit. The small symbolic offering is a thank-you to heaven and earth that closes the loop, so the reading's warnings become protection rather than a burden.
What happens after I make an offering and write my wish?
Your altar lights the number of sticks and candles for your chosen offering and burns for 3 full hours. You can come back any time to see the remaining time and reread your wish.
